UIT Software Downloads
The UIT Software Download page provides a variety of software at no charge to students, faculty and staff. Your CougarNet username and password must be entered to download software. You can also get to Software Downloads by logging into AccessUH.
MD Anderson Library Virtual Software
The MD Anderson Library has software available virtually using the VMware Horizon Client.Staff has to open the client on any library computer and log-in with your CougarNet to access these software. Visit the Technology Consultation Room in MD Anderson Library or call the TCR at 713-743-2696 for more information.
Hamill Foundation Multimedia Studio
The Hamill Foundation Multimedia Studio is a free service for the UH community to assist students, staff, and faculty in creating quality productions. The studio features a set of audio booths and professional grade recording equipment.
Equipment for Checkout
Need to checkout a laptop or video camera for a meeting or event? Visit the UH Libraries Contact us page or visit any service desk to learn more about available equipment. All equipment requires an active Cougar Card to borrow.

Toastmasters International Club for Staff
Join fellow Coogs as they develop their communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth. Cougar Rhetoric, the new Toastmasters International Club at the University of Houston for staff, meets every Tuesday from 12pm - 1pm. Visit the Cougar Rhetoric website for more information.
HR's Staff Tuition Scholarship Program
The Staff Tuition Scholarship Program is designed to support and encourage employee development through formal education, with a priority on the attainment of a baccalaureate degree and beyond at the University of Houston. Staff Council Rebecca Szwarc Professional Development Reimbursement
The University of Houston Staff Council has established a reimbursement program for its staff members as part of the ongoing effort to promote staff education and self-development. Staff Council Rebecca Szwarc Professional Development Reimbursement is available to University of Houston full-time staff members interested in attending seminars, workshops, training sessions, continuing education courses, professional organization memberships, etc. that are related to their jobs.
Staff Council and WGRC Scholarships
Staff Council and the Women and Gender Resource Center (WGRC) are dedicated to providing opportunities for staff members to advance their education. The Women and Gender Resource Center provides five $1000.00 scholarships and the Staff Council provides ten $1000.00 scholarships to employees who plan to attend degree or job related academic credit classes during the fall, spring, or summer semesters at the University of Houston.

Blaffer Art Museum
The Blaffer Art Museum is the contemporary art museum of the University of Houston. Its exhibitions and programs are free and open to the public, create community through dialogue and participation, and inspire an appreciation for the visual arts as a vital force in shaping contemporary culture.
Public Art
Public Art of the University of Houston System (Public Art UHS) is a collection of public artworks by acclaimed local, regional, national and international artists across all forms of media and styles. This significant collection spans across five university campuses including University of Houston and its Sugar Land location, University of Houston-Downtown, University of Houston-Clear Lake and University of Houston-Victoria, making great works of art accessible to millions of Texans.

Staff Council needs volunteers to help with our events. Staff, faculty and student volunteers are all welcome to sign up (form) to receive information about upcomming volunteer opportunities such as CFI, Spring Egg Hunt, Staff Focus, Tax Prep Day and other events.
