Staff Council

The University of Houston Staff Council is an advisory body to the President of the University and the University administration. Staff Council consists of elected staff members from each division who represent the entire staff body.

    Staff Council General Meeting is Open to All Staff

    Join Staff Council during its monthly General Meeting from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. via MS Teams. Visit the General Assembly Meeting webpage for upcoming dates and the meeting link. To submit a question use this Staff Council Special Guest Question Form.

    Staff Council Meet and Greet Gatherings

    Staff Council's monthly Meet and Greet will take place from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at the Cougar Woods Dining Commons. Check out the Staff Council calendar for upcoming dates. All staff members will be responsible for covering their own entrance to Cougar Woods Dining Commons.

    Get Involved!

    Join one of seven Staff Council Standing Committees or one of four Ad Hoc Committees. You do not have to be a Staff Council member to participate. All staff, faculty, and students are welcome. Meetings are virtual. Email staffcouncil@uh.edu to join a committee or to find out more. The Staff Council committee webpage is also a great resource.

    Cougar Rhetoric Club Meets In Person and Teams

    Join your fellow Coogs to develop your communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence, and both personal and professional growth. Cougar Rhetoric, the Toastmasters International Club for UH staff and UH student employees, meets in the HR Training Room 106 and Teams. Check out the HR Power Up calendar for meeting dates.
