Readmission Procedures for the College of Architecture and Design

Former Students

Students seeking to return after an interruption of at least four consecutive semesters or 13 months, must reapply for readmission as a former student.  Regardless of academic standing, you are required to meet your college-specific re-entry requirements and deadlines. Students (in good academic standing) seeking readmission into the College of Architecture and Design after an interruption of at least four terms or 13 consecutive months will need to:

1.  Apply for readmission by selecting the Readmit, Undergraduate application at: www.applytexas.org 
  • Submit the $75 non-refundable application fee.
  • Send updated official transcripts from all colleges and institutions previously attended since your last semester at UH to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
  • Also submit official transcripts for previously attempted coursework that has not been evaluated for transfer credit. Electronic transcripts are preferred.

2.  Schedule a readmission appointment with the College of Architecture and Design’s Student Services Office 
  • Appointments must be scheduled prior to the start of the intended semester of readmission. Call the Student Services Office at (713) 743-3463 to schedule the appointment or email archsso@central.uh.edu

The College of Architecture and Design does not grant readmission during the summer semester.


Students Returning from University Academic Suspension or Probation

Students seeking readmission from University Academic Suspension into the College of Architecture and Design must follow the readmissions procedures by the deadline date as outlined below:

1.  Apply for readmission by selecting the Readmit, Undergraduate application at: www.applytexas.org

  • Submit the $75 non-refundable application fee.
  • Include a statement of preparedness justifying the student’s readiness to resume their studies at the university. Upload this statement to the www.applytexas.org application and retain a copy for the readmission appointment.
  • Send updated official transcripts from all colleges and institutions previously attended since your last semester at UH to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
  • Submit official transcripts for previously attempted coursework that has not been evaluated for transfer credit. Electronic transcripts are preferred.

2.  Schedule a readmission appointment through the College’s Student Services Office. 
  • Appointments should be scheduled at least one month prior to the start of the intended semester of readmission.
  • Call the Student Services Office at (713) 743-3463 or email archsso@central.uh.edu to schedule the appointment.
  • Provide transcripts showing at least a 2.00 grade point average on all college work completed elsewhere while on academic suspension from the University of Houston.
