Dear Class of 2023 Graduates,

I am excited to announce the University of Houston and Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture and Design’s commencement ceremony is scheduled for Friday, May 12th, at 3:00 pm, in the Hines College of Architecture Building.

Graduation Updates and Information

Venue Access
The Architecture building will be open for public access 1.5 hours before the event start time. Access to certain areas of the building will be restricted.

Ticketing Information
Graduation tickets are required for all guests. Up to 6 tickets are issued to graduates. Graduates will not need a ticket for their own admission to the building. More information about ticketing will be announced in the coming months.

Special Seating Requests
We will be accommodating special seating requests for guests with disabilities. More information pertaining to these requests will be announced in the coming months.

Live Streaming Available 
Live streaming is available for all University of Houston commencement ceremonies for guests who cannot attend in person. Please go to “Live Streams” for day-of viewing for college-specific ceremonies. Live streaming is also available on-site in the Hines College’s Theater and fourth floor. Event staff are available to assist guests with seating.

Event Parking
Complimentary self-parking will be available on the day of commencement. Valet parking is not available. More information pertaining to parking will be announced in the coming months.
