Kori Lugar
Summer 2018
My name is Kori Lugar, I'm a native Houstonian who is passionate about the natural world, and I’m a senior at UH. I am a Biology major with a focus in ecology and evolutionary biology. My career plans include fieldwork and research in wildlife biology and ecology, as well as continuing my education. In order to gain experience in the field, I am currently in the coastal rainforest of the Manabí Province in Ecuador for a month-long ornithology internship. My internship provides hands-on training in avian field research techniques such as bird identification, ethical capture, and release of birds, and bird banding. The remote location is beautiful, and this opportunity is giving me such unique and exciting experiences that I can't wait to share with my fellow students!
