Employer Meet & Greets
During Meet & Greets employers make presentations on topics that include the organization's career opportunities, culture, products or services, and open positions. Students will have an opportunity to speak with the representatives in small groups or individually before or after the presentation. Professional or "business casual" dress is encouraged.
University Career Services plans special events throughout the year that are geared towards helping students prepare for career fairs, graduate school, interviewing or confidently choosing this major. Previous events include Etiquette Dinner, Professional Development Week, Graduate School Prep Week, JCPenney Suit-Up event and more!

Current UH students are invited to join University Career Services for a unique dining experience and interactive seminar on the rules of dinner etiquette. During this event, you’ll have an opportunity to:
- Learn the rules of professional dining
- Network with professionals and students
- And, enjoy a meal catered by the UH Hilton Hotel
The cost of this event is $20 and will include your entire 3-course meal. Participants are required to wear business casual attire.

STEM Careers Week
Monday, February 17 – Friday, February 21
Prepare for the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) Career Fair and participate in interactive workshops, panels and engaging events that help STEM majors navigate their academic journey and offer guidance in their job search process.
Student Employment Week
Monday, April 13- Friday, April 17
Each year, colleges and universities across the country recognize the contributions of student workers. University Career Services will host appreciation events during Student Employment Week, which are open to all students.
A Career Fair is an event where recruiters and students can meet to discuss potential internship or career opportunities. During a Career Fair (traditionally) recruiters will stand at booths and students will walk around the event, stopping at booths to introduce themselves to the recruiter and give their resume. At the University of Houston, there are multiple Career Fairs per semester.
