The University of Houston Student Health Center is a comprehensive primary Health Care Facility. We offer affordable and accessible quality primary medical and mental health care. Our Pharmacy offers prescription and non-prescription medications at competitive prices often lower than off campus.
The University of Houston Student Health Center is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). Accreditation distinguishes our UH Student Health Center from many other out-patient facilities by assuring that the highest quality of care is delivered to its patients as determined by an independent, external process of evaluation.
Status as an accredited organization means that the UH Student Health Center has met nationally recognized standards for the provision of quality health care set by AAAHC.
All currently enrolled students at the University of Houston are eligible for all services of the Student Health Center. A valid picture ID is required at check-in.
The Student Health Center is financed by Student Service Fees and fees for services. A fee is charged for professional services, medications, laboratory procedures, and injections. Our prices are very competitive. Payment is due at time of service.
The Student Health Center will accept Visa, MasterCard, transfer to the patient's university financial account or bill to the UH endorsed Student Health Insurance Plan. For all other insurance plans, the patient must pay at the time of service. A statement suitable for submission to their insurance will be provided.
We accept 3rd party payment for pharmacy and laboratory services. We will also work with your insurance company to refer you to specialty care, should the need arise.
Is your third-party insurance plan in-network with Quest Diagnostics? Upon request at the time of your appointment, Quest Diagnostics will file a claim with your insurance carrier for the cost of labs that we send to their facility.
