Flu Vaccine

The flu vaccine is now available to UH Students by appointment. Self-Pay cost is $35.00. Students enrolled in the UH-System endorsed Student Health Insurance Plan may obtain the flu vaccine with no out-of-pocket cost.

Appointments required

Appointments in the Immunization Clinic can be scheduled by calling 713-743-5151 during regular business hours. Make your appointment using the Healthy Coog Patient Portal for UH Students.

Travel Health Services

The Student Health Center offers advice, vaccinations, and preventive care to traveling individuals according to CDC recommendations. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention provides travel notices and articles about travel health-related topics aimed at world travelers to help them prepare to manage illness and injury abroad. University of Houston Immunization Requirements

The UH Student Health Center does not process immunization records required by the University of Houston.

Available Immunizations

Vaccines that are NOT available at the Student Health Center, include but are not limited to:

  • Rabies
  • Yellow Fever
  • Pneumonia
  • Shingles

To obtain vaccines that are not available from the Student Health Center, contact the city/county Health Departments, pharmacy, or immunization clinics.

Testing for Tuberculosis

  • Tuberculin Skin Testing (PPD)
    This test is not available on Thursdays or prior to a university holiday.
  • QuantiFERON® (QFT)
    An office visit with a provider is required to order this test.

Immunological titers

An office visit with a provider is required to order titers.

  • Rubella
  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B
