Submit your video message for EunSook Kwon here.
(Be sure you followed the guidelines below.)

Thank you for your help with this video request! To ensure the College’s Marketing and Communications team can effectively edit your video, please follow the recording tips below:

Guidelines

Limit your message to 10-15 seconds, and speak generally to your discipline’s graduates, offering congratulations and words of wisdom. Your recording is part of a compilation of videos.

Do not identify yourself. Your name will show at the bottom of the screen.

Look at the camera. There nothing worse than someone looking off-screen the whole time.

Avoid running sentences together. You do not need to pause between thoughts, however, a clean break between sentences helps if your video needs to be shortened or edited.

Give yourself five seconds of on-air silence at the beginning and end of your video. This will help with editing.

Shoot in a well-lit room, not outside. It may be beautiful out, but wind and other sounds impact audio quality.

Avoid recording with virtual backgrounds. Don’t want you to get lost in the background.

Choose an environment with very little background noise. You want to be clearly heard.

Record your video horizontally (widescreen) using your phone or Zoom on your computer. This will easily translate on multiple platforms where the video will be shown.

Make sure you are positioned in the frame correctly. Check out Shasta below!
