On-Campus Housing
Important Note: After applying online for on-campus housing, please be sure you are aware of the specific move-in date UH Housing allows you to move into your dormitory. If your move-in date is after the date you currently plan to arrive at UH, you would be responsible for arranging any available early temporary housing at a UH dormitory or area hotel until you can move into your dormitory. If you are not sure of the specific move-in date, contact UH Housing.
On-campus housing is primarily for students (undergraduates, graduate, and professional students). The University of Houston has four(4) student housing facilities on campus operated by the University, and three (3) complexes on campus owned by private companies but operated jointly with the University. We call these public/private partnerships.
The University-run housing:
- University Lofts offers three types of loft-style floor plans, Efficiency, 1-bedroom, and 2-bedroom. To become a resident at Calhoun Lofts, a student must be 21 years of age or older or a Junior or above in classification. To find out more about these options, visit Student Housing and Residential Life.
- Cambridge Oaks UH consists of varying-sized unfurnished apartments with private and shared bedrooms. Flexible leasing is available for those who lease in advance. Housing is first come first serve with long-term contracts taking priority.
- Cullen Oaks has shared furnished apartments with private bedrooms. Cullen Oaks also houses UHD students. During the summer Cullen Oaks also offers summer housing to interns, camps and conferences.
NOTE: Add 17 percent tax to the cost of the room. Room rates are subject to change. Furnished or unfurnished apartments, private homes, and rooms for rent are all conveniently located near the campus.
