Dear GCSW students and community,
The GCSW is thinking about you in the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl. We know many of you were impacted by wind damage, possible flooding, and are without power. We have set up this form for you to check in with us to let us know how you are doing and whether you have any emergency needs. We will be checking in with you in the coming days.
Check here for UH updates, especially for those of you taking classes or participating in practicum this summer. The university announced it will be closed through Tuesday July 9th. If you’re in a summer class, it should take a pause until the University reopens and faculty will be in touch with you via email with more information about the pause or late start (Session 4). Once the university reopens, instructors, as soon as they are able, will communicate class date changes, attendance and assignment due date adjustments, and inform you of any course schedule changes. Please be sure, when you are able, to let your faculty and practicum instructors know if you’re impacted by the storm. You can also email practeam@central.uh.edu for practicum concerns and questions and swadvise@uh.edu for advising concerns and questions. The first concern at this time is you and your family’s safety.
