General Information
Virtual Reality
Virtual Reality is a method of human computer interaction that has evolved beyond simple mouse clicks and allows users to interact seamlessly in a virtual environment. Virtual reality incorporates a head-mounted display, photorealistic 3D graphics, surround sound, vibrotactile feedback, scents and haptics to increase realism in the virtual environment.
Virtual Reality Therapy
Researchers use virtual reality technology to treat veterans dignosed with post-traumatic stress disorder and alcohol or drug addiction.
In the Lab
The virtual Reality Clinical Research Lab (VRCRL) seeks to advance clinical research in Anxiety and Substance-Related Disorders through state-of-the-art technology and virtual reality innovation. The VRCRL finds new ways to use technology to address social behavior, addictions and mental health.
