What is the Meet and Greet?: This event is for all Undergraduate Math Majors, Math Graduate students, Departmental Faculty and Staff. The purpose of this social is to create a pleasant and comfortable environment among faculty and students as well as provide special opportunities for our students. The event can be for recruitment or be an informal social/mixer.

If we do have speakers presenting at our event, they may discuss the following topics: 

• Which steps were taken to acquire their current positions?
• What was their process like and what was involved in their preparation to find a position?
• Which opportunities did they take advantage of that proved invaluable during the application process.
• Perspectives on “life beyond the degree”.

For some of our speakers, this is a recruitment opportunity as they will promote their company, accept resumes, and speak about the importance of "soft skills" in the workforce. This event supports a "professional networking platform" as 14 corporations and institutions have been represented during our events!

We also recognize our departmental scholarship recipients, PME new members and collaborate with other associations within the department to highlight their achievements.
