UH/USAA IABA Ambassador Program Event / Meet & Greet Social

These 2 events will occur after the NSM Career Fair ends on September 10th, 2024. Please see below for the schedule of all 3 events and read the descriptions carefully.

[1st] NSM Career Fair @ 1:00—5:00 P.M.
- Location of venue: Student Center - South
- Is RSVP required? Yes, you must register to attend this event. Click this link to register!
- Who should attend? Any Math Major (Undergraduate or Graduate), no matter the classification. You should regularly attend these career fairs every year, and come prepared to speak to employers about your resume.

[2nd] UH/USAA IABA Ambassador Program Information Session, hosted by USAA & UH Math @ 6:00—7:00 P.M.
- Location of venue: Third Ward Room (Rm. 212), Student Center - South, 4455 University Dr., Houston, TX 77204
- Is RSVP required? Yes, you must email ttmcalis@central.uh.edu to attend this event. You must RSVP to attend!
- Who can attend? Any students interested in the Actuarial Science field
- What will be discussed? USAA representatives (Mufaro Chitakure, Actuarial Analyst II & Juan Lopez, Life Actuarial Analyst), Janys Monteiro Pemba (Sr. Actuarial Analyst), Weston Williams (Actuarial Analyst @Oliver Wyman), and Brandon Wright (Actuary, VP Inforce Line of Business Leader @Lincoln Financial Group) will be discussing the area of actuarial science and will be presenting information about the IABA Ambassador Program. Students should ask questions during this event. Engagement is highly encouraged.
- Will food and drinks be provided? Yes.

[3rd] UH Mathematics Meet & Greet Social, hosted by USAA & UH Math @ 8:00—10:00 P.M.
- Location of venue: Student Center Game Room (exclusive-use), B30-Basement, Student Center - South, 4455 University Dr., Houston, TX 77204
- Is RSVP required? No, you do not need to RSVP for this event
- Who can attend? Participants from the UH/USAA IABA Ambassador Program event, Math Majors (Undergraduate and Graduate), Math Faculty, Math Staff, NSM Math Advisors, NSM Academic contacts.
- What will happen here? Clowning, gaming, and socializing!
- Will food and drinks be provided? Food and drink will not be provided for free at this event. However, you may purchase drinks and snacks in the Game Room.

Additionally, we would like to thank Brandon Wright and Janys Monteiro Pemba for their continual involvement with our department for over 5 years, representing IABA and their respective corporate affiliates.
