Election Day is Coming!
November 5, 2024, is quickly approaching and the UH Staff Council and the Staff Empowerment Committee wants you to be prepared to exercise your right to vote during the 2024 Elections.
At the University of Houston, we foster a culture of self-efficacy, and our upcoming event is designed to enhance voter awareness and education. This event will provide UH staff, faculty, and students with valuable voter information, opportunities to register to vote.
Staff Council partnered with the Student Government Association to host the #WhyIVote Education and Awareness Campaign event on October 1st to provide voter registration and voter resource information to faculty, staff and students.

- Give yourself a buffer at the beginning and end of your video by smiling.
- Share your reason for voting. No names, campaigning, or profanity allowed.
- Videos should not exceed 15 seconds. Larger videos may not attach to an email.
- Post your video to social media with the #WhyIVote. Tag us @UHstaffcouncil.
- Email your video to Staff Council at staffcouncil@uh.edu.
Early submissions by October 9, 2024. The final video submission deadline is October 20, 2024.
