Repeat Performance

UHCOP Graduates Once Again Post 100 Percent First-time Pass Rates on National Licensure Exams

UH College of Pharmacy Pharm.D. graduates taking the national licensure exams for the first time once again achieved a 100 percent pass rate for the May to August testing period, with all UH Pharm.D. test-takers passing both exams on their first attempt for the period following college commencement.

In each of the past five years, UH graduates have exceeded the state and national average pass rates on the two exams required for eligibility as a licensed pharmacist in the state of Texas: the North American Pharmacy Licensure Examination (NAPLEX) and the Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination (MPJE).

"Our graduates' performance on the exams is a testament not only to their commitment to being the most prepared and knowledgeable pharmacists entering the work force, but it also reflects the commitment of our faculty in ensuring our students receive the highest quality education and training in the art and science of contemporary, progressive pharmacy practice," UHCOP Dean F. Lamar Pritchard, Ph.D., said.
