Tuition and Fees
The University of Houston College of Medicine’s cost of attendance includes tuition and fees, and additional expenses including books and supplies, loan fees, room and board, transportation and miscellaneous expenses. Tuition and fees are direct expenses from UH College of Medicine and are set annually by the University of Houston System Board of Regents. Additional expenses are incurred by students. Housing is available on the UH campus.
Medical students at UH College of Medicine pay the same annual tuition regardless of their year in medical school. First- and fourth-year students’ tuition and fees payment is divided in half, between the fall and spring semester. Second- and third-year students’ tuition and fees payment is divided in thirds, between the fall, spring and summer semesters.

Students are not permitted to receive financial aid in excess of their cost of attendance, and are encouraged to budget carefully and to anticipate expenses as they progress through the curriculum.
