Jeremekia Amos is the associate vice president of business operations for Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine. Amos has been with the Fertitta Family College of Medicine for three years and has served as the executive director of finance and business operations. She has over 12 years of experience in strategic planning, financial and business operations in academic medicine administration. She has created and led several projects in both private and public sectors.

As the associate vice president of business operations, she is responsible for all financial and operational aspects of the College of Medicine, including budgeting and finance, human resources, facilities planning, information technology, marketing, and compliance, while aligning with the University of Houston system. Amos has a dual report to the dean of the College of Medicine and the senior vice chancellor/vice president of the University of Houston finance and administration department.

Previously, Amos worked at Baylor College of Medicine for about nine years. Before joining the College of Medicine, she served as an administrative associate in the Department of Family Medicine, the division administrator for cardiology and gastroenterology for the Department of Medicine, and the director of graduate medical education.

Amos earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and a master’s in business administration from the University of Phoenix. She also holds a Six Sigma greenbelt certification from the University of Houston.
