Eligibility
To be eligible to participate in the University of Houston College Assistance Migrant Program (UH CAMP):
- The student or an immediate family member must work at least 75 days in the last two years in agriculture as a migrant worker or seasonal/temporary worker*. Please review the eligibility explanation for further details. The student also must be:
- Eligible to participate or has participated in qualifying programs that include one or more of the following:
- Migrant Education Program (MEP) – anytime during K-12
- From a migrant/seasonal farm working family
- Participated in National Farmworker Jobs Program (NFJP)*
- Eligible to participate or has participated in qualifying programs that include one or more of the following:
- Must be U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident
- Be a first–year incoming student enrolling full-time at UH (12 credits/semester)
- Students with 30 credit hours or less are still eligible to enroll.
