PEEPS Pantry provides free food, toiletries and supplies to University of Houston students in financial need. We know students can struggle academically when they’re worried about their next meal or bill. That’s why we’re here to help. The pantry, housed in the UH College of Education, is open to all currently enrolled UH students in any college and is supported by donations and volunteers. Summer 2021 Food Assistance

During the Summer 2021 term, PEEPS Pantry will have prepared, pre-packaged bags of non-perishable food for current UH students from June 7 through August 10 (closed during all UH approved holidays).

To schedule an appointment during the summer term, please email Laura Lee and include your name, student ID number and at least three days/times of availability. An appointment will be set for you. One bag per student per week. Pick-up will be at Farish Hall 160 (Undergraduate Studies suite) at the appropriate appointment time. The office will be "locked." You should knock at the door at your scheduled time for assistance. Bags will only be held for five minutes after appointment time to allow for proper distancing between appointments so please be on time. Masks are required on campus until further notice.

*If you have special dietary restrictions, please note them in the comments sections when you schedule your appointment. Example: vegetarian only, halal meat only (when available). Also, we have limited supplies of toiletries. If you need shampoo/soap/toothpaste etc., please note that in your comments and if we have the supply it will be included as well.

Laura Lee

PEEPS Pantry opened in response to a great need – roughly 48% of college students nationwide identify as food insecure, uncertain how they will afford their next meal. Laura Lee, the student success coordinator at the UH College of Education, launched the pantry as part of the College’s multipronged PEEPS program. PEEPS stands for Personal Early Educational Support, and the overall program is designed to assist students with their academics as well as their social and emotional well-being. The pantry is now open to all UH students facing food insecurity.
