Professor & Associate Dean for Research
Nathan Grant Smith, Ph.D.

Smith was named associate dean for research in April 2024 after previously serving as interim associate dean of research and chair of the Department of Psychological, Health, & Learning Sciences. He is a professor of counseling psychology, and his research focuses on health disparities among lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and queer adults. Smith’s research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.

Kelsey Harris

Harris has a master's of business administration in human resource management and is responsible for the overall management of PI monthly reconciliations, OOR programming, OOR data analytics, gift card and customer-service tracking and facilitation. Research Administrator
Miranda Jasso

Jasso has a master’s degree in business administration and has been working at the College of Education since 2014. She is responsible for the post-award operations for the College of Education, primarily with the Dean’s Office and CUIN. Contact: mnjasso@central.uh.edu or 713-743-6219.
