Professor & Associate Dean for Research
Ezemenari M. Obasi, Ph.D.

Obasi leads the overall operation of the office and is responsible for advancing the research culture in the College. He serves as the catalyst for facilitating innovative research that supports the College mission "to lead and inspire generative transformations of learning, health, leadership and well-being by developing new knowledge for an increasingly diverse world." Specifically, Obasi develops and oversees (a) faculty research development initiatives, (b) small grants program, (c) research policies and procedures, (d) community partnerships, (e) pre- and post-award services, (f) compliance management, and (g) the dissemination of our scholarship to a broad range of stakeholders. Research Liaison Officer
Thessalenuere Bernard

Bernard holds a Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies and brings varied experiences from roles in research, instruction, administration and corporate. She serves as the Research Liaison Officer for the College of Education’s faculty and pre-award activities where she provides guidance and leadership in the processes, procedures, federal regulations, funding opportunities and best practices for various research opportunities in addition to proposal and budget development and submissions. Lena Mitchell

Lena Mitchell

Mitchell is responsible for the financial management of all funded research projects for the Departments of Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. Kristen Jones

Program Manager
Kristin Jones

Jones has a Master of Science degree in Business Administration and is responsible for the overall management of PI monthly reconciliations, OOR programming, OOR data analytics, gift card and customer-service tracking and facilitation.
