Why do you want to work in sports?

I want to work in sports because ever since I was little that has been all I have ever known. I grew up watching sports from a young age because my dad was a football coach. Why do you want to work in sports? I want to work in the sports industry because sports have always been a big part of my life. When everything else in the world seemed to be out of place, sports were the one place where I felt I belonged. My best memories have involved sports so I want to continue to have sports in my life.

Duties:

• Assist with writing lesson plans consistent with The First Tee Core curriculum.
•  Provide a safe environment for participants and maintain quality of equipment.
• Work with volunteers to manage equipment donations and thanking donors.
• Assist with recruiting, training, and involving volunteers to assist with program delivery.
• Provide administrative support by answering the phone, registering participants, and data entry.
• And lastly provide staff support to the 2015 Shell Houston Open.

Why do you want to work in sports? I have always been involved in sports in one way or another. Whether it be competing on a court or field, to just being a supporter in the stands, it did not matter to me. Growing up as a son to a football coach and a dance team director, you get the whole experience on Friday nights and I want to continue that for the rest of my life. So by pursuing a career in an industry, which is evolving daily, I feel I can enjoy my work while experiencing a plethora of different opportunities. 

What is your dream job? My dream job is to be an Athletic Director for a Division 1 University and/or be a part of a nationally recognized recruiting staff for a Division 1 University.
