Major in Communication Sciences and Disorders

Majors in communication sciences and disorders will first obtain a firm grasp of normal communication processes, the normal structure and function of the speech and hearing mechanisms, and the normal development of communication abilities in children and adults.

The curriculum includes a total of 35 hours in communication sciences and disorders. The undergraduate degree is considered a pre-professional degree. To be certified as a speech-language pathologist or audiologist, one must complete appropriate requirements of a master's degree.
