Stress is considered a “silent killer” and can lead to a number of different health problems, such as heart disease, diabetes, depression, and anxiety.
Check out the resources below that can help reduce the stress in your life.
- Getting active can be a benefit in reducing chronic disease. The UH Recreation Center offers different ways to stay active to students.
- Unwind with Wellness is an end of semester program with UH Wellness that allows students to de-stress and relax before finals.
- Stable mental health is one of the key points of emotional wellness. UH offers counseling services at CAPS for students who are feeling distressed.
- Long-term effects of sleep deprivation can drain your mental ability and put your health at risk. Visit the UH Sleep Anxiety Center to speak with someone about sleep difficulties.
- 30All it takes is 30 minutes of exercise a day for 5 days a week to stay active and healthy (MFMER, 2018).
