On-Campus

  • Counseling and Psychological Services has a mission to provide psychological, educational, and social support services to the university community, which help students to be more successful in their academic, personal, and social pursuits. To achieve this mission CAPS offers individual, couples, and group psychotherapy, crisis intervention, preventative and developmental outreach programming and services, consultation, psychological assessment, training, and supervision.

Off-Campus

  • The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (1-800-273-8255) is a United States-based suicide prevention network of 161 crisis centers that provides a 24/7, toll-free hotline available to anyone in suicidal crisis or emotional distress.
  • The Harris Center offers a wide variety of mental health services to Harris County – from inpatient and outpatient treatment, education, and counseling. Multiple locations are available in the Houston area.
