Virtual Safety Walk

Want to travel across campus while UHPD monitors your progress? Want to know that UHPD can be at your fingertips if you need emergency assistance while going across campus?  The Virtual Safety Walk is your new walking partner in the palm of your hand. 

How it works?

UHPD's Virtual Safety Walk is available exclusively through UH Go mobile app. You must be on the UH Campus within the 77204 zip code (this service is currently not available at Sugar Land and Katy campus's). You must be logged in with your CougarNet account to be able to use this service.  Once logged in navigate to the Menu -> Safety and Emergency -> Click on the "Virtual Safety Walk".

Next you will go through steps making sure the phone number and location tracking is configured correctly for your device, then you can be on your way.  When you arrive at your destination simply click the "I have arrived" button and your done.  If something does happen or you become concerned press that "Panic Button" LEAVE THE APP OPEN and UHPD will respond as if you call them via 911 using the app to determine your location.
