ConocoPhillips Computer Science Learning Center
Notice: At this time, only COSC 1336, 1437, 2306, and 2436 tutoring is available. We plan to expand to other courses in the future.
The ConocoPhillips Computer Science Learning Center is a program of the Department of Computer Science that offers resources and activities allowing students to succeed in COSC courses.
Mission Statement:
The learning center is committed to fostering academic growth for students that need
help to succeed in COSC courses. The goal of the learning center is to provide a supportive
environment that encourages intellectual and personal growth for students, offering
a variety of resources and activities that complement the CS department coursework.
Resources and Activities:
Tutoring | Workshops | Student Activities |
Individual and group tutoring: one-on-one and group sessions about different CS topics to support multiple COSC courses. | The center will offer courses to teach students how to set up the different tools they will use in their COSC courses. Additionally, the UHCS TLC will invite representatives from the industry world to present new tools and technologies to our students. | UHCS TLC will work with the different student organizations to offer activities encouraging student engagement with the CS department beyond academia. The idea is to improve the sense of belonging of the student body to our department. |
Tutoring Schedule
Tutoring can be in-person (PGH 233) or online (MS Teams). You may indicate your preference
when scheduling your appointment.
- Mondays & Wednesdays: 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM
- Tuesdays & Thursdays: 10 AM to 5:00 PM
Appointments required. Make an appointment through MS Bookings
Walk-ins available depending on the availability of tutors.
