2024 All-State Strings Festival

9 am - 4 pm

Please join us for the annual All-State Strings Festival at the University of Houston, Moores School of Music! We invite violin, viola, cello, bass, and harp students to participate in audition and preparation workshops focused on the Texas All-Region and All-State etudes and excerpts, taught by the distinguished string faculty at the Moores School of Music. 

At the conclusion of the workshop all students will have a chance to perform a mock audition and receive helpful feedback and encouragement.

Registration Information

The University of Houston All-State Strings Festival is available to all students entering grades 9-12 in the fall of 2023 who want to try out for either their all-region orchestra or the TMEA all-state orchestra.

Time: 9 am - 4 pm
Location: University of Houston, Moores School of Music
3333 Cullen Blvd, Houston, TX 77204  
Tuition fee: $65 

Registration deadline is August 24th, 2024 at 5:00 PM. 
Lunch is included in registration fee. 

We will provide drop-off and pick-up locations at the Moores School of Music. Guest parking is also available for an additional fee. 

Moores School of Music will be accepting registrations until August 24, 2024.
