2022 All-State Strings Festival

9 am - 4 pm

Please join us for the annual All-State Strings Festival at the University of Houston, Moores School of Music! We invite violin, viola, cello, bass, and harp students to participate in audition and preparation workshops focused on the Texas All-Region and All-State etudes and excerpts, taught by the distinguished string faculty at the Moores School of Music. 

At the conclusion of the workshop all students will have a chance to perform a mock audition and receive helpful feedback and encouragement.

Moores School of Music will be accepting applications until September 2, 2022. Based on availability, students can email CAA@uh.edu to inquire about late registration.

Registration Information

The University of Houston All-State Strings Festival is available to all students entering grades 9-12 in the fall of 2022 who want to try out for either their all-region orchestra or the TMEA all-state orchestra.

Tuition fee: $65 

Registration deadline is September 2nd, 2022 at 5:00 PM. 
Lunch is included in registration fee. 

Metered guest parking is available in Lot 16B directly across from the Moores School of Music. This lot requires payment by credit card.
