Pablo Martinez

PIANO

 Pablo Martinez started his musical education at the age of nine in Valencia, Spain. He studied with Juan Lago at the Conservatorio “José Iturbi” of Valencia and with Leonel Morales at the Conservatorio Superior de Música “Salvador Seguí” of Castellón. In 2014, he obtained the Special Award for Outstanding Performance in his class. After finishing his bachelor’s degree, he moved to Texas to complete his Master of Music in piano performance under the instruction of Josu De Solaun at Sam Houston State University. Martinez was offered a graduate assistantship at SHSU and taught while playing for several ensembles. He began his doctoral studies (Doctor of Music focused on piano performance) with a teaching assistantship at University of Houston with Professor Tali Morgulis. Martinez performed in many Spanish cities and important halls such as the Auditrio Nacional of Madrid, University of Sevilla, Auditorio Manuel de Falla of Granada, Fundación Botín of Santander, Palau de la Música of Valencia and Palau de les Arts of Valencia. He’s also performed in other European countries, such as Italy, Austria and Germany, combining solo recitals and concertos with orchestra (Orquesta CSM “Salvador Seguí” of Castellón, “Orquesta Sinfónica Chamartín” of Madrid, “Orquesta Sinfónica OSA of Albacete,” “Wernigerode Chamber Orchestra,” Germany and “Nordharzer Städtebundtheater Orchester,” Germany). Martinez has been awarded in many national and international competitions, such as “Neue Sterne International Competition” in Germany, “Ciudad de Albacete” in Albacete, Spain, “Campillos International Competition” in Malaga, Spain and “Premios Loewe-Hazen” in Madrid, Spain. He’s been invited to perform in several Spanish music festivals, such as “Clásicos en Ruta AIE,” “Festival del Mediterrani” (Valencia), “Festival Internacional de Música y danza de Granada,” “Juventudes Musicales de España” and Fòrum Santa Cristina d’Aro. He recently made a recording for the Spanish National Radio (RNE) with works by Beethoven, Chopin and Brahms, which was broadcasted in several European countries.
