Kiersten Baker

PIANO AND VIOLIN

Kiersten Baker earned a Bachelor of Music in piano pedagogy from Louisiana State University, where she studied both piano and violin. During her time at LSU, she taught private piano lessons and served as coordinator of the after-school music program at University United Methodist Church. She is currently at the University of Houston working toward a Master of Music in piano performance and pedagogy from the Moores School of Music; where she also holds a graduate assistantship teaching music theory and aural skills. Baker is an active member of the Music Teachers National Association and presently serves as vice president of the University of Houston collegiate chapter. She teaches both piano and Suzuki violin in private and group classes in the Houston area.
