Career Highlights:

Katelyn Heath is an assistant professor of public policy at the Hobby School of Public Affairs. She earned her master's degree and doctorate in economics from Cornell University. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Economics from Saint Michael's College in Vermont. Her research interests include the economics of education and labor economics. Most recently, her work has focused on education policy, particularly on individuals with disabilities. She has employed various quantitative methods to research the impact of various special education policies affecting individuals with and without disabilities.

Heath's work has been published in the American Economic Journal: Economic Policy. Previously, she was a post-doctoral research fellow at Rice University. While there, she worked with the Texas Policy Lab on early childhood development and education projects.
