The Houston Area Teacher Center Job Fair at the University of Houston is open to representatives from school districts, charter schools and other educational organizations to recuit student teachers.

Important Dates

Fall 2024 HATC Job Fair

  • Monday, Sept. 23, 2024: Registration opens.
  • Friday, Oct. 18, 2024: Registration closes.
  • Friday, Nov. 8, 2024: HATC Student Teacher Job Fair

Location

  • Hilton University of Houston, 4450 University Drive, Houston, TX 77204-3028
  • Conrad Hilton Ballroom (second floor) 
  • Parking is available in the Hilton Garage.

Student Attendees

  • Invitees include graduating seniors, as well as juniors. Graduating seniors are working toward their teacher certification in order to be certified by the time they start working. Juniors are invited to give them exposure to different districts and job fair experience. 

Registration Fees

  • Districts/Organizations: $300
    • This fee includes one table, two chairs, and lunch and parking for two representatives.
  • Additional representative: $35 per person (includes lunch and parking)
    • Only four additional representatives are allowed (for a total of six representatives).
  • Additional booth table: $25
    • Only one additional table is allowed (for a total of two tables and four chairs).
  • Interview table: $25
  • New! We only accept credit cards for payment. Thank you for your understanding.
    • All fees are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled.
  • Register now via the Main Registration Form.
    • Note: There is a section on the Main Registration Form to add additional representatives and tables. However, if you have already registered and then discover you need additional representatives and tables, please use this Additional Representative/Table Registration Form.

Important: All representatives in your party must be registered to attend the job fair, so please include them in your total number.

Wifi and Power Outlet Access

Wifi is available for free to all registrants. Due to space limitations, electric outlet requests are approved on a first come, first served basis. You may request outlet access when you register. Approved tables will be located near a wall with an outlet. Registrants will be responsible for taping down their electrical cords to meet the fire code.
