He also worked as a Juvenile probation officer for Harris County with at risk youth, for whom he still advocates. In addition, Joseph has worked with TDCJ inmates in obtaining their associate degrees. His current research interests are of crime, illiteracy, violence, and adversities that impact communities at large.
