July 17 Brown Bag Gallery Tour: Pamela Fraser
You’re invited to bring your lunch and eat at the Blaffer Art Museum as the education curator leads a gallery talk based on Pamela Fraser's exhibition, "The Fourth Dimension was Ha-Ha, in Other Words, That it is Laughter." Starts at noon and ends at 1 p.m. Free.

Blaffer Art Museum, Texas Monthly magazine, Uchi restaurant, and Whole Foods grocery chain have joined forces to create an unforgettable private dinner series inspired by the upcoming exhibition Feast: Radical Hospitality in Contemporary Art opening September 6, 2013 at Blaffer Art Museum.

August 2-11Houston Shakespeare Festival
Each summer, the School of Theatre & Dance produces two Shakespeare plays in repertory performed at Miller Outdoor Theatre. The 2013 productions are Antony and Cleopatra, directed by Leah C. Gardiner and As You Like It, directed by Marc Masterson. Guest actors include Crystal Dickinson (Broadway: Clybourne Park and Enron), Brandon Dirden (Broadway: Prelude to a Kiss and Enron), Seth Gilliam (MTV’s Teen Wolf and HBO’s The Wire) and Chris Hutchison (Comedy Central’s Chapelle’s Show and ABC’s All My Children.) Both Gardiner and Dirden are recent Obie Award-winners for Off-Broadway productions. Click here to view the season schedule. This is a free event.

Before the Valenti Group made it to nationals, it won 1st place in District 10, which comprises universities from Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and eastern Louisiana.
