More than 2,400 students will be awarded degrees from the University of Houston on Dec. 17, and among them are 1,013 students who have earned degrees from the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences.

"This is the largest fall commencement class that we've ever had due to the addition of our newest department, Health and Human Performance," said CLASS Dean John Roberts. "HHP adds an exciting new interdisciplinary program to the mix of core liberal arts and social science programs that we already have in the College."

The CLASS commencement ceremony is scheduled for 9 a.m., Dec. 17 in Hofheinz Pavilion. The event was streamed live on the Internet. Photos from the ceremony are being published on the CLASS website and can be found here.

A pre-commencement reception from 7 to 8:30 a.m. in the O'Quinn Great Hall of the Alumni Center is scheduled. Graduates and their guests are invited to come and enjoy a light continental breakfast, coffee and juice, prior to the ceremony. UH faculty, staff, and alumni will be there to help you celebrate your accomplishment.
