Jack Cottom is a licensed professional counselor with more than 12 year of experience in many different clinical settings including community mental health, residential treatment facilities, in home services, college counseling, and private practice. He uses a blend of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and humor to help students make changes in their lives. Jack believes the therapeutic relationship and process of therapy is hugely powerful because it allows students to think about their problems in new ways, have a safe space to share, to gain insight, and change maladaptive thinking and behavioral patterns to transform their lives. He is committed to serving all students and has a special interest in helping others develop self-identity, self-expressing, and sense of belonging. Jack is a native to Philadelphia, PA who loves dogs, exotic/sports cars, beaches, and comfort food.
