The Division of Administration and Finance is comprised of 1,250 remarkable, hard-working, and dedicated employees. In April, the division held their annual staff appreciation and awards luncheon that provided a much-needed opportunity to reflect on and celebrate the division's individual and collective accomplishments. Employees who achieved years of service milestones in 2023 were also recognized at the event.

Additionally, the event allowed colleagues to reconnect with colleagues from across the division.

The event was emceed by Lisa Shumate, Associate Vice President, UH System & General Manager at Houston Public Media with divisional remarks from A&F Senior Vice Chancellor/Senior Vice President for Administration and Finance Raymond Barlett.

Bartlett called attention to the division's work and how it impacts the University of Houston.

“While our division may not have the word student in the title, we are inextricably connected to student success. While our division may not have research in the title, we are deeply connected to the success of the university’s enterprise research, discovery, and achievement,” said Bartlett.

Sixty-two employees – 11 individuals and six teams – were recognized and honored at the event.
