Sarah Delille Vice President of Country Management for Equinor US
Sarah Delille brings nearly 20 years of experience in technical, commercial and leadership roles in the energy sector.
Currently she serves as head of Country Management for Equinor in the US, where she is responsible for shaping the company’s strategy, managing enterprise risks and fostering a comprehensive approach to sustainability, social investment, and stakeholder engagement across all business areas, positioning Equinor for success in the country.
Previously, Sarah held the role of Vice President of Workplace and Operational Excellence (WOX) at Equinor, where she managed the COVID crisis response and led the transition back to the office. Her work focused on implementing a flexible work strategy, optimizing Equinor’s real estate portfolio of 67 buildings, and adapting workspaces and processing facilities to new operational needs. During this period, she became a crisis manager, overseeing a team of over 150 employees and 500 contractors.
Before her assignment in WOX, Sarah was Vice President of Business Development at Equinor, leading global teams in business development and M&A projects, negotiating deals in oil and gas, renewables, and low-carbon solutions. Her extensive experience also includes operational and P&L roles both in the US and Norway, where she served as asset manager, technology manager, and head of the US engineering group. Additionally, she worked as a project controls manager on major offshore projects in Norway and acted as a technical and commercial advisor to Equinor’s CEO and Corporate Executive Committee.
Prior to joining Equinor, Sarah worked at TotalEnergies and McDermott, and she has lived in six countries, speaking multiple languages. She is a registered Professional Engineer in Texas and holds a bachelor’s degree in Math and Physics, a master’s degree in mechanical engineering with honors, and an MBA with a focus on Finance and Marketing, all from French universities.
Sarah is a strong advocate for STEM, the Energy Transition, and Diversity and Inclusion. She has served on the board of "Slingshot," a non-profit that supports startups in Norway, and was an advisory board member for "Girls with Impact," which provides leadership and business education to underserved teenage girls in the US. Currently, she is an Energy Advisory Board member at the University of Houston and an Independent Director at Biatech, an AI fusion technology company focused on asset monitoring and optimization. Additionally, she co-founded Cozyhomes, a real estate investment business in Houston, and LOTUS, a non-profit providing free math tutoring to kids from underserved communities.
In 2024, Sarah was recognized as one of the top 50 women to watch for public boards in the US by the 50/50 Women on Boards organization.
