2021 Annual Report

The University of Houston's research enterprise achieves unprecedented success, setting new standards for preeminence. This Annual Report highlights our remarkable strides.

With the Presidential Frontier Faculty hiring program, we've recruited 25 professors annually for four years, focused on thematic areas and societal challenges. Simultaneously, our core facilities in data science, automation, imaging, and more drive unparalleled discovery and innovation.

Our efforts yield impressive outcomes, including a 35% increase in research contracts over $1 million and attracting federally-funded research centers. Through initiatives like Research Reaching Houston we showcase our impact locally and nationally.

As we strive for sustained excellence, we welcome feedback from our alumni, supporters, and peers. Our best days are yet to come.
