Single-Molecule Metallo-Neurobiology

Our research group investigates metal homeostasis in healthy and diseased neurons using single-molecule techniques. In particular, we are interested in the dynamics and mechanisms of protein machineries involved in metal trafficking within/between neurons. Our goal is to understand how metals affect neuronal signaling and cause neurodegenerative diseases.
