Transcriptional control of Gene Expression in Human Diseases

Aberrant regulation of gene expression is one of key mechanisms underlying the development of human diseases. Our research has been focused on dissecting the molecular events that lead to aberrant gene expression and identifying novel therapeutic targets for better treatments. Ongoing projects in Dr. Feng’s lab include: (1) Transcriptional elongation control of HIV-1 and cancer genes; (2) Epigenetic function of TDRD1 in prostate tumorigenesis; (3) Development of novel PSMA-specific Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR)-Natural Killer (NK) cells.
