Graduate & Professional Studies Committee

The Graduate and Professional Studies Committee (GPSC) advises the Vice Provost and Dean of the Graduate School regarding graduate and professional programs at the University of Houston. The GPSC also recommends changes in existing policies, identifies the need for new policies, and approves new programs, new courses, course changes, and/or deletions for submission to the Texas Education Coordinating Board.

Specifically, the GPSC:

Reviews and recommends proposals for new degree programs and changes to existing programs;
Reviews and recommends graduate admission policies;
Reviews new or amended academic and work-related university policies and procedures that directly or indirectly impact graduate and professional students.
