Community and Government Relations Committee
The Community and Government Relations Committee (CGRC) serves as the Faculty Senate liaison to the university community, external communities, and governmental entities. It considers and provides recommendations for issues pertaining internally to needs of the university community at large and externally in support of university outreach and community engagement. It seeks to facilitate collegiality across the university and contributes through supporting student success initiatives, including Welcome Week student orientation and engagement activities. It reviews nominations for and facilitates the Assistant Professor of eXcellence (APeX) lecture series, as well as coordinates the biannual Faculty Senate Conference.
