UH College of Education Researchers to Share Diverse Work at AERA Conference

New York City Skyline Posted April 10, 2018 About 60 professors, staff, graduate students and alumni from the University of Houston College of Education shared their research on teacher quality, student achievement and other critical topics at the American Educational Research Association conference in New York.

"Looking forward to great conversations and learning opportunities at AERA 2018 with faculty and colleagues from around the world," said College of Education Associate Professor Jacqueline Hawkins, who will present on how graduates from the Carnegie Project on the Education Doctorate can transform 21st-century teacher and learner outcomes. 

The conference, took place from April 13 to 17, draws thousands of emerging and veteran scholars. The theme this year is "The Dreams, Possibilities, and Necessity of Public Education."

“I am very excited to be presenting the results of ongoing collaboration with my students and colleagues across the UH campus," said Professor Mimi Lee, who is presenting three papers.
