UH’s first interdisciplinary building will feature Psychology
The new Health and Biomedical Sciences Building (HBSB) at the University of Houston (UH) is the first constructed building for the UH Health Science Center. The six-story, 167,600-square-foot structure was designed to house clinical, educational and interdisciplinary research areas that will bring together investigators from different colleges and departments in a state-of the-art facility. The space provided will enhance the mission of the UH health initiative in workforce preparation, innovative solutions to cutting-edge research problems, community outreach and patient care.
Naming and supporting opportunities for the third and fourth floor of the HBSB are available. The completed third floor is for collaborative research laboratories and is the home for Texas Institute for Measurement, Evaluation, and Statistics (TIMES). The 4th floor will be new home for faculty in Neuropsychology as well as Neuroscience and Human Genetics. Together these programs along with the Colleges of Optometry and Pharmacy, School of Nursing and School of Social Work will constitute the new UH Health Science Center.
