Book

The culmination of this project is the first-ever comprehensive, international study on hate speech. The book assembles essays presented, insights contributed, and other lessons learned throughout the project. Its four main sections are guided by the four summits and will address: Antisemitic hate speech, Anti-Muslim hate speech, internet hate speech, and debating hate speech.

Questions explored may include how Antisemitism has returned discourse in the US; discourse on the persecution of Muslim minorities in China and India; the phenomena of hate-based radicalization and proliferation over the internet, including conspiracies against government, science, and public health; evidence-based assessment of the relationship between hateful speech and criminal acts, as well as legal and grass roots exploration of responses to hate speech, including assessing the merits and disadvantages of legislation, educational or free speech measures.

The book will offer insights into historic as well as new manifestations of hate, and its expression. It will offer guidance to legislators in different societies, and serve as a template for further study by international researchers.

The book will be an integral resource to policymakers, researchers and the public.
