Financial Aid for Graduate Students
All PHOP doctoral program students are supported by graduate assistantships: Research, Teaching or Instructional. The type of assistantship depends upon the availability of grant funding from advisors, the student’s interest in teaching and English language proficiency, and the instructional needs of the Pharm.D. professional program.
The stipend for PHOP Graduate Assistantships is $23,400 per year, with a health insurance subsidy of $1,800 per year. Student health insurance costs $1,481. All UH mandatory fees and tuition are paid by the Graduate Tuition Fellowship, leaving a net income $23,719. (Note: Electives taken at other universities are the financial responsibility of the student.)
In addition, a Graduate Tuition Fellowship (GTF) is awarded as long as academic standards are met and funds are available (see complete details at link below).
