Advisory Councils

Dean's Advisory Council

The DSAC members act as liaisons between the P1-P4 Class and the Dean of the College.  The DSAC meetings allow the Dean to provide the DSAC members with insight into specific areas of the College. The meetings also will allow for open, two-way communication between the DSAC members and the Dean.

Executive Council

The Executive Council serves in an advisory capacity to the Dean, and shall be composed of all Deans, and Department Chairs. Ex officio members of the Executive Council are: Chair of the Faculty Advisory Council; chair of the Staff Advisory Council; the College Business Administrator; the Directors of Assessment and Development;, and Assistant Department Chairs.

Faculty Advisory Council

The Faculty Advisory Council shall facilitate faculty development, ensure that faculty concerns are aired to the College administration, review and/or update the College By-laws every two years, and shall nominate faculty members for other College councils, e.g., Pharmacy Council, where appropriate.

Staff Advisory Council

The Staff Advisory Council shall serve as an advisory body to the Dean. The Council shall meet at least once each semester during the academic year to discuss matters brought forth by the staff.

Dean's Student Advisory Councils

The Dean's Student Advisory Council (DSAC) and the Dean's Graduate Student Advisory Council (DGSAC) members act as liaisons between their respective members and the dean of the college. The DSAC meetings allow the dean to provide the DSAC members with insight into specific areas of the college. The meetings also will allow for open, two-way communication between the DSAC members and the dean.

The PharmD DSAC comprises three representatives from each class, who are elected by their respective classes. The Pharmacy Student Council President shall serve as a member of the DSAC as well. The DSAC will meet with the Dean at least three times per semester.

The DGSAC comprises a total of 8 members with a minimum of one graduate student member from each of the degree programs/concentrations. The DGSAC will meet at least one time per semester.
