Publication Experience

Mark Lacy is a professional photographer in the University of Houston's Office of Publications. His work has appeared extensively in major newspapers and magazines, on television, billboards and the World Wide Web.

He has exhibited versatility, producing high-quality work in many specialized areas, including studio portraiture, editorial and scientific photography. He produced the department's on line archive of photography.

While in college, Mark Lacy covered freelance assignments for the Houston Chronicle and worked as a photograhy editor for several publications.

He has received major awards in his field, including a Viewfinder First Place Award for editorial photography, the President's Award from the University Photographers' Association of America for publications, and a CASE Grand Award for color studio photography.

In addition to producing the university's promotional and feature photography, he has produced donor-campaign event photography, web sites and video for television.
